George Thomas Hospice Care can provide teaching sessions upon request to health professionals in the primary care setting and nursing or residential homes.

These sessions usually involve aspects of palliative medicine such as the recognising dying, integrated care pathway/Liverpool care pathway for the last days of life, Gold standards framework, symptom control including nausea and vomiting, dyspnoea and pain control.

George Thomas Hospice Care clinical staff will consider both student placements and health professionals who wish to shadow members of staff in order to gain further experience in palliative care.
